Love’s Labour’s Lost, Shakespeare’s story of love gone awry, will explore gender and class politics in the U.S. during the late 1960s. We’ll set our stage against the backdrop of the women’s liberation movement, the sexual revolution and the counter culture, and take a close look at some of the original nasty women (and the men who loved them). Sex, drugs and rock-n-roll – this is not your parents’ Shakespeare.
Performances are April 14-15 and 20-22 at 8:00 pm and April 23 at 2:00 pm.
All performances will be held in the Black Box theater at the Dorothy and Charles Mosesian Center for the Arts formerly known as the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown, MA.
