Little Women, the Musical
October 7-9 & 14-16, 2011
The Louisa May Alcott classic story comes to life at the Arsenal Center for the Arts this fall as the Wellesley Players perform Little Women. Helmed by Celia Couture, acclaimed director of recent Wellesley Players productions Fiddler on the Roof and Steel Magnolias, Little Women will warm audience hearts as the March sisters endure without their father, a chaplain in the Union army during the Civil War. This coming-of-age story is set not far from Wellesley, as Louisa May Alcott’s family home in Concord is the basis for the March estate depicted in the familiar novel and musical.
The Wellesley Players are thrilled to be working collaboratively with the Orchard House in Concord, Mass. for this production. The Orchard House is the historic home of the extraordinary Alcott family where Louisa May Alcott wrote and set Little Women. We encourage you to visit this beautiful home.
We are pleased to announce the cast and production team for Little Women: the Musical:
Little Women will be performed October 7-16, 2011 at the Arsenal Center for the Arts black box theater in Watertown, Mass.
